Hi folks! I hope this review helps anyone considering a visit. I’ve been going to both Sunflowers of Lisbon fields Woodbine/Lisbon and Maple Lawn/Fulton for years now, and all I can say is: wow.
Sunflowers of Lisbon LLC offers a massive sunflower field that’s perfect for photos, taking a peaceful stroll, or just enjoying nature. Admission is $15 per person, which includes five sunflower stems you can take home. Kids ages 3–8 are $10 each, and children 2 and under are free. Please be aware the best time to come and expect a field full of bloom sunflowers is the week they open. Deciding to come on the last week is not the best because parts or most of the sunflowers are dead and prices are still the same. I highly recommend to come the week of opening.
Just a heads-up: everyone entering the field must pay admission, even if you're only planning to take a few selfies or stay for five minutes. If the owner happens to be there and sees anyone trespassing (like parking outside the field and taking photos without paying), he will confront you and ask you to pay—yes, even if you only took two pictures. (There’s a review confirming this situation happened before.) That said, in all the times I’ve visited, I’ve never actually seen the owner around so if you snap a quick photo without paying, you might get lucky lol.
The staff are usually high school or college students, and they are always super friendly. Bless their hearts for working inside that trailer all day in the summer heat!
Aside from the sunflowers, there are a few fun activities for kids: a corn pit, slides, swings, small tricycles, and a “hayride” (technically a tractor ride, since there’s no hay). The hayride is short and geared more toward young children it doesn’t go around the whole field and is about 3-4 minutes and is only running on weekends only.
While the website mentions cows at the Maple Lawn location, I’ve only seen them once, and I’m guessing they’re not always there. So parents: don’t promise your kids they’ll definitely see cows. The “Cow-workers” might just be part of the marketing!
There aren’t picnic spots inside the field, but there is a large white tent with tables and chairs, and on weekends only, there’s a food truck selling burgers and hot dogs (meals include chips and a drink), plus an ice cream truck.
I love coming out here it's beautiful, relaxing, and great for photos. I originally visited based on all the positive reviews, and they didn’t disappoint. Some of the negative reviews seem to come from people who didn’t read the info on the website (like thinking they’re open every day year-round) or coming at a bad time like the last day when most sunflowers are dead.
I’m super excited about the new Glenwood location opening soon can’t wait to see...

I bought two tickets to the Sunflower farm with the ability to cut 7 each if we wanted. The sunflowers were about 5 to 6 feet tall and were really big and wonderful.
It smelled lovely there and we had a great time watching the bees on all the flowers. They have a hay ride that we took do get a higher view of the flowers than we could on the ground.
If we would have waited one day there would have been food trucks we missed them but all in all its great if you...
Read moreWe had such a great time at the sunflower farm! There were plenty of beautiful flowers to pick from, and I loved that they had shaded areas where you could sit and take a break from the sun. The hay ride was such a peaceful touch as it was scenic and relaxing. My daughter especially loved the playground and the old school bus set up for kids. It kept her entertained the whole time! It was the perfect mix of nature and fun. We’ll...
