Livengood’s Barn — Attraction in Mount Carroll

The Venue was good the 2 buildings were clean and restrooms were nice. The grounds there are very unlevel causing problems for older persons or handicap persons to try and get around. Apparently there was a golf cart that could be used to transport people which we did not get access to until after the wedding was over. CJ the DJ was terrible unprepared and did not play the wedding march when the bride was walking down the isle, then all the songs that guest requested on the website from the invitations were not played (stay away from this DJ) think the DJ was linked or related to the owners some. For the rehearsal dinner there was a suggestion to have pizzas made by a local company which prepares them in a wood fire grill. I think there was miscommunication to the bride and groom on this deal as the food for about 40 people ended up costing a lot more than planned (300-400 dollars more). The location was out in the middle of nowhere and I heard a lot of complaints about the drive to the venue. The bar staff was very rude to the guest not letting people get beer right away and pouring pitchers and cups of beer then letting them sit out to get warm (D to the staff working the bar). overall it ended up being a good wedding just some small items that were overlooked like the golf cart and restrooms in a different building. We attended a wedding recently in hope to book a walk through for ourselves. Beautiful! Both buildings were exactly what my fiancé is looking for! Needed a bathroom in the corner of the reception for those physically impaired. I will say the dj set is outdated, messy and needs TLC. He sounded like a radio DJ. Very arrogant.
