The house tour is only on the first floor of the house so it is accessible to anyone via the ramp shown. There is very little furniture because Alice Paul wanted her work and mission to be known rather than become a celebrity, but this makes it easily maneuverable. There is an option for a self-guided tour that involves reading the info they have in 3 rooms and a hallway, or a guided tour for just $2 extra that basically summarizes all of that. An incredibly important historical home and farmstead of the Paul family from which Alice sprung. Now the location of the Alice Paul Institute that does incredible work mentoring and guiding young girls and women of all flavors to encourage and support them to be the best people that they can be. The 1800's house is beautiful inside and out and what's left of the original rolling farmstead acreage is absolutely breathtaking with magnificent mature trees and a ginkgo so large that I couldn't even believe it.
