A true gem for any aviation enthusiast... The variety of aircraft is stunning -- from the familiar to something not likely to have been seen before -- and a nice mix of military and general aviation aircraft. The fact nearly all of the collection resides within a climate-controlled building [a building with an aviation history of its own] is a real plus. Documentation on each aircraft is thorough, as well... The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I was also pleasantly surprised to be able to spend time with the Museum Director, an enthusiastic 'aviation geek' like me, who opened up a couple of planes for me to see 'up close and personal'. What a special thrill!

Bottom line? It's a bit of a drive to get there from major Interstates; yet, as a destination, I think it's well worth the time invested. The admission price is a true bargain -- and represents a great value! The city of Liberal also has a unique charm worth experiencing -- and I can say that about this part of...

Scott is a TRUE Aviator and his love for the sky is mesmerizing and absolutely contagious. There are so so so many REALLY old airplanes; beautifully restored and better than ever. The best part is that they aren't just museum trophies. THESE PLANES FLY and FLY OFTEN. This is an actual working, flying, operational marvel and an absolute MUST SEE. You will see airplanes in the construction phase being brought back to life right there on the property. You can tour the inside of many of them. This is not a cold, rigid, hands off kind of place. Walking around and under these HUGE masterpieces is nothing short of incredible. It's an experience children will never forget and I feel certain, there are some little minds just begging for a new "I want to be an airplane pilot when I grow up" obsession. Honestly, I'm almost 50 and this experience makes me want to become a pilot when I grow up. You JUST GOTTA SEE...

What an experience! We were greeted immediately by our car by a nice man who took us up to the front entrance and then started showing us around. He was very knowledgeable, took his time explaining things & even let us look inside a couple planes. What I loved most was how everyone talked so highly of the owner, especially the gentlemen with us. From what we saw & what he said, the owner seems like a genuine human being. Not greedy at all! I mean to visit was completely FREE. They could easily charge $10/$20 per person. Also, we wanted to buy a shirt to support them but their card machine wasn’t working. They just let us have it. Most places would just apologize for the inconvenience while you put the merchandise back. I highly recommend visiting this place even if you aren’t interested in planes like me!! 10/10...

Do you like planes? Then this is the place to visit. Admission is free and there are very nice fellas that will walk around with you giving you awesome info about the aircraft. We went to stave off boredom on our recent trip to NE Texas and this place was awesome. I can't go on enough about how cool it was to see so many planes, restored and in flight condition. They have a Duck that is a Pearl Harbor survivor. Talk about history, amirite? I'm not sure who owns the crafts but I am grateful they have made this place available for public viewing. We will be back to bring the rest of the family.

I've been in several air museum, I lived the Mid America Flight Museum due to the history on each unit in exhibition If you want to learn about vintage airplanes and the history behind the airplane in exhibition this is the place to go. We have the pleasure to visit the museum and have a tour with Scott, all the airplanes in exhibition are operative airplane, some of them active in WW2.

Awesome collection of old war birds. Incredibly friendly people there. Shout out to Matt and his son to take time to chat with us and our boys sharing some wonderful information and stories about some of the birds kept there. Free to enter but there is a donation box for funding flights for veterans and thier family. One of the greatest museums ive had the pleasure of going to.
