Knob Overlook in Mount Pocono, PA, is a truly spectacular spot that lives up to its reputation for breathtaking views. After a period of development challenges, this scenic overlook has been permanently protected as public open space, ensuring that future generations can enjoy its panoramic beauty. The Views: The vistas from Knob Overlook are expansive and awe-inspiring. You'll find yourself looking directly at Big Pocono State Park, and the panorama extends all the way into the Delaware Water Gap, with views reaching into New Jersey and New York on clear days. It's a wide, sweeping landscape that truly captures the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains. The area has been maintained to ensure there are no obstructions, allowing for an unimpeded and stunning visual experience. Experience: This location is often referred to as "The Knob" or "Pocono Knob" and is a must-visit for anyone seeking a serene retreat and incredible scenery. It's a place where you can immerse yourself in nature, enjoy a quiet moment, and appreciate the vastness of the surrounding landscape. Recently, a new trail has been opened near the overlook, offering additional opportunities for exploration and connection with nature. Tips for Visiting: Consider visiting early in the morning for fewer crowds and a peaceful experience. Bring a camera to capture the stunning views, especially at sunset. While there aren't extensive amenities, the area is perfect for a quiet contemplation or a short walk. Knob Overlook is a gem that offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and anyone looking to be inspired by the beauty of the Pocono Mountains.

Very nice overlook that is worth the quick stop in Mt Pocono. You can see various parks and even the Delaware Water Gap from the overlook. I wish there were picnic tables but it’s understandable why there are not. There are trash and recycling bins available. No restrooms. For parking, there is a large shoulder that has plenty of room for parking. There is space for multiple cars. There are not any signs that say no parking. Just do not park too close to a local residence. visited on 9/1/24

We were exploring the Poconos for the weekend and had rented a Slingshot, so we decided to make a quick stop at The Knob for the views—and it did not disappoint! We went on a Monday afternoon, and it was completely empty, which made it even more peaceful. Parking was easy; we just pulled over on the shoulder. The scenery from the overlook is beautiful and definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area. It’s a nice, quick detour that gives you a great vantage point without the crowds
