One of the many amazing things that happened at this place : our group of 4 ended up split in 3 as we tried to find right trail to the falls. My Indigo blue sneakers kept attracting blue butterflies, and as I followed them I quickly found the right path and ended up alone at this beautiful fall! As I tried to leave to find and guide my friends to it, a couple of them landed on my sneakers and wouldn't just fly away even as I moved... I brought a couple of my friends back to it just as the 4th had found it herself. As they took the photo of me standing under falls, you can see how the orb light above has an indigo blue color that matches my (underwater) sneakers. It was truly a magical and unforgettable experience for all of us, as we each had something special happen while separated and all came back together under a shared experience at the falls. It truly deserves its name, Faery... (look closely on rocks and you will find tiny crystal offerings left by travelers to faeries, but please don't touch or...

However when you pull into the right hand parking lot and go on from that trail there's an encampment there and the guy has trashed the place.
I fully support people living in the woods but to leave garbage heaps all over the place in such a beautiful area is so wrong. Hope the forest service evicts this person.
As other people said it is a really sketchy spot but I didn't have my car messed with.
Trying to find the trail from that spot is very difficult so just go back up the road to the first campground area on the left and you will see a dirt road heading up the mountain. Follow that road up a ways. Pass Ney springs and then go up a short steep hill. After the short steep hill take the first turn off on the left that will bring you...

It was beautiful and well worth the hike. As for the hike itself I would say it's a moderate hike, but only because of the elevation gain, the main path is fine, there's just a bit of elevation gain especially near the end. Somewhere about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up to the main waterfall is short spurt that takes you to a smaller waterfall (picture #2). This smaller waterfall might not be much is the water levels weren't so high right now. Also, make sure google maps takes you to the Ney Springs trail head. For some reason it initially took us to a trailhead on...
