What’s better than one waterfall? 🌊 Three! 🤩 McCloud Falls features three waterfalls that can all be seen along the McCloud River Trail. Which fall is your favorite? 📍@seesiskiyou #VisitCalifornia #McCloudFalls #SiskiyouCounty #NorthernCalifornia #Waterfalls #Explore #Hiking #Hike #Outdoors

This is a very popular destination. During the summer expect crowds and limited parking. The directions on Google Maps will take you to the lower of the three waterfalls. As beautiful as it is, don't miss visiting the middle and upper falls. The out and back trail is partially paved and is about 4 miles total. The section from the lower to the middle falls is relatively easy. I'd rate the section from the middle falls to the upper falls as moderate as there is a steep climb before it levels out at the top.

We parked at the lower falls and hiked up to the upper falls. It was a little over 4 MI round trip. You can park at both the lower and Middle falls parking lots. Definitely hit the middle falls it's the most beautiful, lower falls is also great. Upper falls is a little more sketchy to get to any place in the water. Most of the trail is in shade, so that was nice. There's quite a few people here so it's not like you're out in the middle of the wilderness but it's a fun little hike for sure.

Falls are great but there are no hiking signs which makes it difficult to find.

If you drive to middle falls, the trail going down will lead you to middle falls and yes you can get to the water pretty easily. It’s nice and short trail. If you take the trail up that takes you to lookout point for upper falls which is ok if you have time for both I would suggest do the upper and then middle.

If reading this review I’ll say take a bug spray with you, there are so many mosquitoes in certain parts near middle falls. Sun screen is also must since it’s pretty hot around this time of year.

Falls are definitely worth it and once you go down to the middle falls you can not resist but go in water so prepare...

Absolutely beautiful trail!

Trail was well maintained although after you pass the campground between lower and middle falls the plants by the side of the trail did encroach on the trail a bit so you have to duck under a few branches and push some to the side but it was just minor.

Lower falls is a cute little falls; middle falls is the real showcase, really nice; and upper haha is pretty amazing as well, amazing that water could carve down through the rock like that over so many years.

It was a really nice 3+ mile out and back home, highly...
