Great Little park for a Saturday afternoon with toddlers. The equipment is in good shape, except for a couple of stairs to show their wear with rust coming through thus making sharp little edges that might be dangerous for a kid if they fall, but that would probably rarely happen. The football field and baseball field are both well maintained, however not accessible to just folks coming into the park to use; one probably have to reserve them. There is a basketball court and a soccer field and they’re both decent and opened. My only misgiving is that the basketball court has got a bigger grade than necessary; guess to avoid puddles.

I am not writing this review to recommend the things praised in other reviews, I am giving it this score because of the community garden that is in the park. I have been gardening here for the past three years and look forward to many more. During the main growing season, representatives from the County’s master gardener program are there on certain Saturdays to help answer any gathering questions you may have. Other gardeners who tend plots are also very helpful and are willing to lend a hand or a tool if you need something special.

This was the Smaller museum near the national mall Gave it four stars because seventy percent of The museum was closed for changing/renovate. Lots of DEI hires.. welcome to DC! Visited in late October wasn't too crazy.Busy tons of food trucks out front selling overpriced ice cream.. food vendors in trucks likely not American citizens fyi

We’ve visited Grist Mill Park for years. We’ve gone there for soccer, basketball, baseball and the playground. Those facilities are decent - especially the various soccer fields and turf. I give it one star because parking is only ok and the restroom options are abysmal - third -world level restroom option.

They need to make parking lot one way to improve traffic flow. They should also pave the grass lot given the mud that happens when wet.

Only restroom options are one or two port-o-johns. Given the high volume of people that use the park, especially in sports seasons when thousands go to the park each Saturday, the port-o-johns are disgusting. As a male, I can hold my nose and tolerate it, but it is not suitable for use by women/girls. Because there is no running water, no real way for anyone to maintain proper hygiene. They need to build and maintain a small restroom...

Note: this review is only for the dog park

Grist Mill dog park is hit or miss for us. Sometimes it's amazing and sometimes people aren't good about keeping an eye on their dogs.

Pros: The park itself is huge, with lots of room for dogs to run. There are lots of trees for shade, and benches and picnic tables for people to sit at. There's tons of parking, but you'll have to walk a little ways up the trail to access the dog park.

Cons: The stone dust surface can get pretty dusty if there hasn't been any rain, and will hold puddles of questionable liquids if it has. There are kiddie pools there, which some people enjoy for their dogs, but that breed mosquitoes and add to a gross muddy situation around the water pump. Not an issue in winter, but definite an issue...

One of the best dog parks in the area for a number of reasons:

-PLENTY of parking space, I would be completely surprised if parking was ever fully at capacity the parking lot is so big. -Large park - The park is not only large but also has tons of trees scattered around so even on a bright and hot summer day you can still be in the shade all around the park -Nearby trail - if you wanted to take your dog on a walk or jog before/after the park there is a trail nearby you can do so. -Water station - There is a water station right by the entrance of the park that has some large bowls for your dog to drink out of. additionally there is a small plastic pool for your dog...
