The best park my family has been to in a long time the park employees and and trout dock folks were great and park interpreter Zack showed a crowd of campers how to make a dutch oven dessert which me and my wife loved when we got to have some after it had finished cooking they have a camper submitted recipe book that we bought from the visitor center the next day is something we cannot wait to use. The overall cleanliness of the restrooms and shower house was great and even tho you can fish from dock and fun have a guide to show you the river and help you catch as many trout as you would like while your there is the your best bet as ours helped us get our limit and were catching and releasing for the fun of it every with the crazy costs associated with things like this these days i feel the last few days have been a bargain for the fun we had. Thank you to all park staff

Restrooms are modern with toilets and showers. Each are kept very clean throughout the weekend. Three new shower houses are unbelievable. Each is wheelchair accessible with showers and toilet areas. The attraction to this park is the river for world class trout fishing. A small boat dock and gift shop offers guide service, boat/kayak rentals, and gifts. The campsites are large and well separated. We stayed in a "buddy" site, which we discovered holds two rv's close together. Each site had water and electricity. The river view sites should be sought out. The gift shop has a back deck overlooking the river that should not be missed. Unfortunately, the deck closes with the gift shop. Access to the river is available by several areas with steps down. If fishing is your thing, you must stay here.

Probably the nicest campground I have stayed at. Very well maintained. Had an issue with a guy that parked his boat in the road causing us to scrape a tree going around it. Called the park and a Ranger was on it in like 3 minutes. Several Ranger patrols during the day and night. Very clean area. Staff was over the top friendly and accommodating. Quiet time is quiet time. We will definitely put this on our future getaway trips and recommend kayaking down the White River. A little bit of steering and very little paddling was needed. Water was super clear. Jumped over to Bull Shoals Lake for a day of boating, swimming and fishing. One of the Top vacations we have had.

Overall my camping experience was lower than what I expected. The white River and the location is perfect. However, there are some things that were an inconvenience.

Booking online and registration should be seamless. If booking online and paying for a campsite I should be able to fully register by providing the required information instead. I somewhat understand the need but I believe this could be improved. Within the tent campsites please watch where you place your tent, even on the tent pad, as there are several dead limbs above which could be catastrophic.

Positive feedback The tent sites are in a perfect place within the park. The park is well maintained and clean. Access to water, bathrooms, and showers are within walking distance. The cooking grills and fire pits are clean and in good condition. Access to the river for boating and bank fishing is near There is a Marina that has fishing gear, snacks, etc...

Probably the most beautiful campground/RV park we've ever visited. Extremely clean and well maintained. Bathrooms/Showers were spotless! The close proximity of the White River and all it's majesty is hard to beat for anyone-trout fishing skills not required- simply walking thru the park and enjoying the sounds and beauty of the river is something to behold!

The park also holds an abundance of wildlife; squirrels, deer (sometimes in herds of 20-30 in the evenings) freely roam the park and nearby forests, and birds are everywhere.

It's a beautiful place for a restful vacation regardless of what time of year you visit! (we were there during the week of Christmas).

The Northern end of the park has been newly updated with brand new hookups and concrete accommodations, but there is not a 'bad' lot in the whole park! Any spot you choose will be beautiful.

This park is Not...
