Beautiful view of the White River from the cliffside above. You do have travel a bit on a dirt road to access this spot.
There are no amenities there, barely even a tree to make a bit of shade.
That being said, someone abandoned a beautiful dog out there in the day(s) leading up to our visit and this poor pup was very dehydrated; finding shade leaned up on a shortish boulder, covered in fleas and also extremely hungry. I contacted local county officials/sheriff as well as all shelters within 40 miles. We ended up taking her with us, it was heartbreaking to consider leaving her there and we now have a second dog.
The view was phenomenal and easy to find plus the universe provided us a wonderful companion after my wife and I randomly picked this outlook to show the river to our kids.

Read moreThis space is stunning and worth the drive out! Go at your own risk, though! This is off of a dirt road that is pretty rough. Drivable, but if you can't trust your tires to hold up down such a thing, don't attempt it. Also, I wouldn't bring littles. If your kiddos are rambunctious, I'd avoid this for a few years.
