I rented Pavilion B for a friends and family party and around 70 people came for the event. The area was very clean, including the indoor restrooms. There was a bit of a sewer smell when the breeze stopped. We had a few snags along the way that I feel I should mention to help others that use the site for a party.
The pavilions are not marked with any sort of sign or map. So if you have guests unfamiliar with the area, you should consider making a sign of your own to put at the entrance.
The electric power for Pavilion B (4 plugs on two 20 amp circuits) is about 15 feet outside the structure, so you will need to bring your own extension cords if you plan to use power inside the building.
Also, the web site showed every day in June 2021 was open when I made the arrangements, but it wouldn't let me take the specific Saturday I wanted, even after several tries to refresh the page and relogin. I'm not sure why, maybe it was because it was only recently reopened for public use from covid restrictions, but at least I was able to take the preceding Friday and call the city to change days. They confirmed my change over the phone, but I wound up going to city hall to ask for some sort of paper receipt, as I was worried I would show up on our special day only to find it had been double booked. They said an email was supposed to be sent and it wasn't, so they were able to send it again.
One of the picnic benches had a broken seat and we weren't able to get it fixed or replaced the day of the party. So my advice would be to check each bench when you scout out the area before the party and move that bench to a serving only table. We had ours next to the basketball court, one slot away from the buffet area and it was like a magnet for people to sit on, even though we tried to discourage it by leaving bags on it. It also helps to be mindful of where the sun will be when you move benches around, so you are able to have people sitting in shade during the time if your party.
Other than these few snags, everything went perfectly! The area is beautiful, mostly bug free and the price was...
Read moreLove this resivor I catch up to 10# northern everytime I come there and I always release them. My advice is follow the breaks along the rivers in the resivor. They are usually 18'-20' breaks on the river bottom breaking into 10' All the fish are scattered along these underwater rivers In the spring use light northern minnows and bottom bouncers in mid summer fast action lures such as spoons & spinners work very well. There are no big fish back in the 10' bays due to methane gas bubbling up from the bottom of the lake and poor...
