The beach is very clean, great, and overall peaceful. You can fish or go kayaking in the park. The whole park is 1,200 acres. Trees, nature, birds everywhere! Nearby areas include houses and maybe even a few rentals. There are 2 park rangers near the place and they control how far you can go. Beautiful! There is also a playground and sand. The water is cold, but if it's summertime I take that as an advantage. Not a bad location, but it's pretty large so it could be tough to make your way through the park. Read moreWe were with good company so that made this visit even better. The "beach" area was clean and the sand didn't have a bunch of rocks. The park in general was pretty clean. Not a real substitute for a beach but def takes the edge off when going through beach withdrawal I guess it's like the suboxone of beaches not the real thing but helps kick the craving. Anyway take the kids plenty of safe fun. They also have a "sandbox" and well that to me looked pretty gross the kids freaking loved it. The beach is part of the Clean Air Beach Program. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. The beach is open daily from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day unless otherwise posted.
