Went to the PA BBQ FEST 2022 -- BBQ, BREWS & BLUES event being held there this weekend. It's a really big park & the event was held at the back of the park in a wooded grove that had pathways meandering through it. Event was nicely done & had 84 vendors selling wines, slushies, alcohol-infused cupcakes, fudge, cookies, pickles, cigars, knives, sauces, crafts (reclaimed wood items, hand made soap, aprons, jewelry), 11 BBQ trucks, other food trucks & more, including live music & a few activities for kids. Enjoyed walking through the woods & will be back next year.
Our favorite was Holy Smoked Meats -- their brisket was so good.
$5 to park, $15 for a 6 sample BBQ tasting card.

Read moreThis is a really nice park. It is easily accessible and pretty. All the facilities seem nice, though I primarily use the dog park. If you're using the dog park, there is a porta potty provided as well as disposable bags for dog waste.
A word of caution to fellow dog owners: this park has laid back rules compared to other parks in the area. This has pros and cons. The pros are that it's free and there's no one micromanaging you or your dog. The cons are that you will run into dog owners that don't police their own animals or don't care for them properly. Most of the time, you will not have a problem. Just be prepared to stick up for yourself and your dog and bring enough...
Read moreThe park is clean, people and other animals are friendly. That being said, most people that come here apparently are too dense to read the signs that designate "small" and "large" dog areas. My pup is 12 pounds. On our first visit she was almost smushed in a Rottweiler/Labrador/German Shepherd sandwich. Why they were in the small pen is beyond me. Ive talked to other people who have the same issue. Now we drive up and scope the area first, and more often then not we just come right home because 10 people have their 100 pound mastiff in the small dog pen. Even if its safe at first, you dont know who is going to show up, so we rarely come...
