We are blessed to have four ski hills here in North Dakota. BWP is a gem, especially for its family atmosphere, polite, helpful staff, and top-notch lodge. The lodge is very impressive. I've skied at 10 places from these small mom and pop run hills to the largest multi-billion dollar resorts, and BWP's lodge and food are in the top 2 or 3 on my list! The beginner (bunny) slope is perfect for learning to ski or board and has a terrific magic carpet. The T- bar lift is fairly new. The triple chair is well maintained. The two terrain parks are very all made and maintained. One focuses on rails and small jumps, while the other is all about the jumps! With two tubing hills and about 7 different ski runs, there is plenty of excitement and adventure for riders of all ages. I rated BWP 4 stars only because the runs are very short, although fast, but lack much diversity or complexity. If you are looking for big mountain challenges you won't find them here. But if you want an enjoyable winter adventure with the family you...
Read moreToday, 2/16/23, my wife took our two sons, and 6 other kids from the Drake High School, to this ski area. This was the first time on skis for my oldest, and the first time tubing for my youngest son. The wife said that they had a blast and whoever instructed my oldest for his first ski lesson was awesome. Once he learned how to do what he had to do, that was it. Kept going like the energizer bunny. Wife also states that the lodge was comfortable and everyone she interacted with that worked there was awesome. All prices were very reasonable, especially if compared to many other resorts on the west coast or around Salt Lake. I might even have to finally get myself back on a pair of skis for the first time in 40...
Read moreI was amazed to have a place like this here in Bottineau, North Dakota. I though it would be just an unorganized and little made hills but I was so wrong!. This place is amazing. Big hills, with electric seats to take you to the top of the hill. I am not into ice, cold or skiing but enjoyed it. Ah! Very nice restaurant (no good food though), I should say nice big place that you can sit and watch the people skiing. Comfortable couches. Just bring your own food and a book. The prices for renting $20 I think...
