I went at a busy time, the viewing platform was pretty congested and it was hard to get up to see the falls. But, there is a trail that goes off into the woods just before you get to the viewing platform that will take you to the upper part of the falls. (The trail is a little more difficult to traverse than the walking path leading to the viewing platform but we saw families with small kids make it just fine.) Expect many people will climb hillside to pose on fallen tree trunks over falls or just in front of falls. For those wanting a little quieter and don't mind making their way past this spot - there are 2 more levels of Falls above that look very similar. I'm a couch potato, but we asked the people walking towards us how the walk was and they said it was pretty easy (they just got new knees!). It was pretty easy, and there were only 8 steps, well built! NOTE: if I remember correctly...
