New Community Church — Attraction in Muskogee

I wouldn’t have put a star her but rather it was the only way I could say what is on my heart. The itching ears were scratched this morning. We skipped the word sin this morning in the last verse that was read out of Hebrews. The only reason I can find for this is what I witnessed through the entire business meeting. This is a seeker sensitive, self serving, self centered, self serving church. From the words in the praise and worship songs to the “sermon”. It was all about them and not about God. Our hearts are not what we sacrifice but our lives. Our mission is not to be where we want to be but where God wants us to be and as far as persicution we should rejoice and consider it a blessing when we are. Not desire for it to end. I didn’t hear God speaking through the pastor but the pastor speaking to the people to make them feel comfortable enough to want to come back. Well I won’t be returning. This is a night club for people that only want to please them selves. The pastors job is to equip the saints to go out and spread the gospel not to keep them coming back for more self. It’s about Luke 9:23 not about our comfort. This church is in the business of doing business not truly knowing and teaching Gods will....

Was looking for a place to attend church and have been repeat visitors to this one would like to call this church my own but would like to attend more often before I do. My husband and I was going threw some really rough n trying times and needing help with some things and this church really went above and beyond for us and the people here are really kind and inviting they welcomed us in helped us everyway and we are great ful I don't know how we would have made it threw those times if they hadn't been there for us. Now. When I hear someone is looking for a place to worship I always tell about this church it's a good place to go when you are searching for something missing. They are very good people at this place no doubt representing the King in the right way with the right spirits. If you visiting or planning to be a regular this is the place I love this church and they never make anyone feel unwanted or out of place I highly recommend this...

I have been attending New Community for over a year now. This church is dedicated to loving people well and they are committed to Muskogee. Because of the security policies of the Kids ministry, my wife and I feel safe and at ease leaving our 2 year old in the nursery. The congregation was welcoming, but not overwhelming. Sermons are a big deal for me. At this church, the pastor is engaging and knows his stuff. I know I was taught God’s word, and he had my attention the whole time.
