Wissel Farms — Attraction in Nampa

A nampa icon! 114 years and going strong.

I love how this family feeds their community both literally and figuratively. Remaining strong against predatory developers seeking to buy their land, this family is incredibly amazing and so strong. They also truly love educating the community with the hard truths about farming, along with the beautiful connections and bounties that come along with it. Their passion for farming is clear, and if you haven't visited their farmstand (open year round!) in a while, you should go check it out soon.

They offer a huge variety of locally sourced items! Ground meats, herbs, variety of fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, flowers, cheese, raw milk, pasture raised eggs, long fermented sourdough breads and desserts, etc. etc. They even offer "u-pick" days where you can go pick some veggies for yourself, pumpkin patch in the fall, and a limited amount of Christmas trees in the winter.

My absolute favorite part is that they partner with Nampa school district to provide harvest vegetable and fruit boxes to several Nampa families in need. Remarkable. God bless the Wissel family...

I don't know how many times I've driven past this place without stopping since I moved from Meridian to Nampa five years ago. Well, that changed today!! They had everything I hoped to find (corn on the cob and last of the season ripe tomotos) and a few bonus finds I could resist. Extra bonus - they are less than two miles from home. No more driving to Boise to Reggies Veggies (although they are also great - just far, far away now). I will most definitely be back! Thank you for such a great place...

These guys are great! What an awesome example of family business! I have been buying fresh produce from them for about 3 years and they have always been very good. They have an awesome pumpkin patch near the freeway that was very cool with an old fashioned scale to weigh your pumpkin. They slso have a great selection of pumpkins and they have a free authentic antique tractor wagon ride! Local...
