Miacomet Golf Course — Attraction in Nantucket

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. From start to finish, until days after I had an awful experince. We arrived at 6:45PM for a 7:00PM reservation. We were sat right away which was about the only good thing about the night. Our server came up to us multiple times saying he would “be right back” and it was “busy”. Being a server in the past, I like to give grace to servers but it was certainly not busy for a Nantucket restaurant, or any restaurant at all. By 730 we had only ordered our drinks and still had not put our dinner orders in. We then called over a manager for one of two reasons. The first being the crazy slow service and almost sitting there for 45 minutes ready to order and having no attention paid to us. The second being that a female in our party ordered a mocktail as she is 18 years old and was appointed the designated driver and was given an ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE. When taking sips for her supposide mocktail she stated her throat was on fire. This was from the rum in her drink. This is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. The manager took away the drink and told us we were “responsible” for letting her know as well as sent over our server to apologize for the delay. Our order was taken soon after and our food then came to us at 815ish, another 45 minutes from when we ordered. Again, not that busy. Our meals werent great. Steaks were undercooked, mashed potatoes seemed boxed, etc. Did we complain? No we did not beacuse of the fact we were absolutely famished from all our waiting and we werent previously met with any understanding and did not want to risk waiting any longer for sent back food. We asked for the bill and two deserts were sent over to our table assumingly for the crazy long time it took to order? Someone in our party has a sever nut allergy. The server told the table that the deserts were safe from allergens . This was far from true. Thankfully the female with the allergy is very aware and knew better than to eat an ice cream with Healthbar on top or a cheesecake/pie with coconut on top. This is a insanely serioud issue to get wrong. No one asked for these deserts and it did not make up for our experience in any way. The party called and complained afterwards and we were met with complete rudeness and unprofessionalism from both Shannon and Renne. I have never had an experince where a resturant manager will actually fight with a patron on the phone over their experince. When requesting to talk to the CFO, Nicole she did call me on July 30th. I unfortunately missed her call but have called her back 3 times since then with no call back or recognition. I am so disappointed in Miacomet and would not recommend wasting...

Horrible service, Beautiful course. My finance played this course on 7/8 during which his cart broke down a couple holes in, their group called into the clubhouse minimally 10 times to which they were diverted to a answering service and could not reach the actual club house in order to keep up pace of play they were forced to walk multiple holes of play. They ended up getting another cart 3 holes later, and that carts GPS didn’t work, they had the same issue reaching the club house for another cart and were brought a working cart eventually. After their round they went to the club house to ask for a partial refund and to report the issue to which the older woman behind the counter was incredibly rude and refused to help them or initially provide a refund for a round that cost almost $300 during which they had to partially walk unexpectedly and had no GPS. After much push back on their behalf, they agreed to refund $27 worth of cart fees. Unacceptable for a course of...

We enjoyed a great round at an amazingly well kept course. Unfortunately for our timing here they had just aerated their greens but I know the work that goes into keeping courses this great so we took it in stride and won’t hold it against them, as far as aerated greens went, this played the most true which we appreciated. There’s not a bad hole out there and the staff was more than helpful. Their rentable clubs are great compared to almost all sets I’ve used on my travels.
