Upon our second visit to Burgess Cellar which were hosted by Joshua both times, I was compelled to post a review for this fine establishment! We were shown the outside garden of the Cellar and were treated with a hand picked figs right from the plant, after walking through the garden, we walked through the secret door to the “Speak Easy” tasting room with charcuterie set on the table. We sampled Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Fanc & Cabernet Sauvignon. We were totally blown away with the entire experience (both times),Joshua is an excellent Estate Ambassador. Burgess with Joshua, promised to give you an unforgettable experience! Just don’t forget to take some bottles home to keep the memories alive. Cheers 🥂

Top tasting! Burgess was recommended to us from another winery. It was my wife’s Birthday and that made it an exceptional experience. Wine was great, winery is BEAUTIFUL and our host Leo was so amazing. He was educated as well and very fun to talk with during our tasting. Nothing like starting off a tasting with some bubbles and caviar. Will come back every time we come back to the valley!

Gorgeous views, gardens, and wines. We had an excellent tasting and tour with the La Terre experience. The grounds and main house are beautiful. Our host was Lyndsi - she made the tasting so special and educational. We learned so much! I think the best thing we learned was that the wines at Burgess were some of our favorites. Highly recommended!

We visited Burgess back in 2018 and it set the bar super high. This was the first spot we checked out in Napa, and could not have been happier with the result. The staff was amazing, the pours were very generous, and we learned so much about the process while enjoying a beautiful view of the mountainside. What makes this place so unique is that most of the Valley is incredibly flat, while these grapes are grown on a hillside, thus creating a unique taste and gorgeous property.

Fast forward to 2020, and quarantine hits us. I purchased 4 bottles of wine, and Steve Burgess was more than happy to do a virtual tasting with us (on a Saturday evening mind you). Not only was this super informative and a fun way to learn more about the wine, but was a great way to get to know the face behind the bottle and see the passion that he and his team put into every product. Steve has gained lifelong customers. We just joined the wine club, and can't wait for the next shipment.

Thanks to the Burgess team, and the next time we are in the Napa Valley, we...

Cindy was phenomenal. Passion, energy and knowledge. This was the first winery ever that Vino Geno (moi) drove back the next day after first tasting & gently knocked on the door as they were closed. Cindy was still there & we did another small tasting & scored on a 2nd bottle of 2013 Moutaineer red. WOW. Scored on their supple chardonnay as well & will b enjoying soon both of these gifts made on the elevated vineyards of Burgess. Hey, even Marne Burgess walked over to meet us as we stood outside, probably because she was wondering who was visiting so late in the day. Hey, when one gets the urge to drive up the mountain 2 days in a row, these people must need...
