Candice was an amazing host and provided us an unforgettable experience. After a brief introduction, we took off with Candice at the wheel of the winery's all Electric Range Rover for an off-road adventure through the winery's vineyards, woods and hills. Imagine Jurassic Park meets Bordeaux! What a memorable way to see the property and the heavenly Napa Valley and Mayacamas Vistas.

Back at the winery, under a wisteria-draped pergola, Candice treated us to an ethereal wine tasting experience, focused on the outstanding, limited-production all estate red wines produced only at Cathiard Vineyard: Cathiard, Founding Brothers and Hora.

Candice is not only an extremely knowledgeable wine professional, but also a gifted story teller. With elegance and passion, she brought the Cathiard Winery story to life. Beginning with the Rennie Brothers establishing the property circa 1885 in St. Helena and ending with the Cathiard family's journey that brought them from skiing the Alps to building a world-class winery in Bordeaux to Cathiard Winery in St Helena.

What a beautiful experience! Cathiard Vineyard is gorgeous -- both the natural beauty of the land, and the residence, which has been thoughtfully decorated in a blend that is elegant, French, rustic and Western all at the same time. We enjoyed a perfect, sunny tasting on the terrace overlooking the valley. I knew this vineyard from their relation to Smith Haut Lafitte in Bordeaux, and the wines lived up to the reputation! The Cabernet was a delight, dense and beautifully balanced, and the spicy, lively Founding Brothers red blend was impressive as well. The hospitality team -- Candice and Coralie -- were the most warm and welcoming hosts; they are exceptional ambassadors for the Cathiard family and their wines.
