Had so many people recommend this winery. We’re from Miami, had never been to Napa before, made the trip across country and this was the winery we were not only the most excited about but also was scheduled to be our first. Had made a reservation months in advance and we were staying at a hotel in down town Napa. Checked several times throughout the day to see how long it would take to get there. Always said 45 minutes. So an hour before our reservation we got in our rental car and started driving there. Suddenly our gps says it will take two hours to get there. I call them. No one answered. I found a cell number to someone in an email confirmation and call as well. No answer. I text the number and explain that we are in the car in Napa 45 mins out from our reservation but the gps now says 2 hours. Asking if this is right. She says yes there’s a road closer now and best to cancel the reservation as they will not accommodate us later. I ask if they can accommodate us any other day or time from today which is Friday to when we leave Tuesday. As I will cancel any of our other winery reservations to go there as so many people recommended it. She says no. They cannot accommodate us any other time. They knew there was a road closure and any one coming in would not have a normal travel time. We did not know that and they didn’t inform us or were they willing to accommodate or reschedule our reservation. I work in the service industry and my clients always come first and are what makes my business possible. I always accommodate them when I can. This experience or lack of was extremely...
