This is the winery many people hope are in Napa - small family owned operations where they grow all the grapes they use in their wines. You might want to sit on a patio tasting wines while looking at the vines that made the grapes you are drinking. You will! Jackson gave us our wine tasting experience and tour. He answered every single question we had - and we had a LOT of questions - about Napa, growing grapes, making wines in Napa vs the rest of the world, the Madrigal vineyards, etc. We learned a lot. Lots of variety not always found in Calistoga. The staff is amazing. Had a terrific tasting with Barbara. She was so nice and so knowledgeable about the wines, the wine making process and had lots of information about the whole valley. Had the chance to meet Chris Madrigal.
