I recently had the pleasure of visiting Quixote Winery, and it was nothing short of a captivating experience. The winery's architecture is a masterpiece in itself, setting the stage for a unique and memorable visit. From the moment we arrived, our host, Emily, made the experience truly exceptional. Her warmth, personable nature, and extensive knowledge added a layer of enjoyment to the tour. Emily skillfully blended information with entertainment, making the entire visit both informative and fun. The wine selection at Quixote Winery is impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the cabernet and Rocinante blend. Each sip was a journey through flavor, showcasing the expertise and dedication of the winemakers. The attention to detail in crafting these wines is evident, and it made for a delightful tasting experience. Quixote Winery is more than just a winery; it's a destination where architecture, hospitality, and outstanding wine come together harmoniously. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or someone looking for a unique outing, Quixote Winery is a must-visit. My visit left me with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for the artistry of winemaking. I highly recommend Quixote Winery for anyone seeking a delightful escape into the world of exceptional wines and unparalleled hospitality.

To expand our knowledge of the wineries of Napa, my husband and I decided to seek out wineries we had yet to experience. Quixote was one of those, found through extensive research online, appearing when searching for unique, quirky, or unusual wineries. How delighted we were to have the opportunity to visit! Our host, Emily, was knowledgeable, fun, and enjoyed sharing all Quixote had to offer. We enjoyed a tour of the facility while harvest was in progress. From the wild beauty of the grounds to the work of the small staff during harvest, we had a fantastic opportunity to taste the lush and mouthwatering wine and see the grapes plucked from the vine as they were processed and prepared for the 2024 vintage. We enjoyed a tasting accompanied by small bites that enhanced the experience, which included some chocolates prepared with the Petite Syrah. So yummy! I couldn't help but purchase additional chocolate to take home and include persimmon jam prepared from persimmons harvested from the tree in front of the building. We had so much fun! We loved the wine and joined the club and can't wait to return!

This spot is in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. Its unique architecture was calling my name so we had to stop in for a tasting. The winery's building, designed by the renowned Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, is so unique. The history of Quixote Winery is as intriguing as its architecture. It was founded by Carl Doumani, a visionary in the wine industry. He Friedensreich created a unique spot with unique wines outside of Cab Sauv. Quixote Winery produces limited quantities of exceptional wines, with a focus on Petite Sirah.

I truly wish I could rate this place higher, but felt that some of the practices were slightly off. While they corrected one of the errors (previously rated 2 stars), I think that a few things needed to be fixed.

Positives: Architecture is great - reminds me of Barcelona! The cheese they provided was great and tasted well with the wine

Now, on to the "Areas of Improvement": Timing: They booked me at 10:30am (I have an email confirmation), but when we arrived, they said it would start at 11:00am (my friends were upset that I booked the wrong time, but in reality, I did book 10:30am) Upon entering, I specifically told them that ONLY 8 people would be tasting because we had designated drivers. They ended up giving everybody a glass, pouring wine, and I was like, only 8 will be tasting. They just kept pouring so I assumed that they were just kicking it off with a "freebie" as a greeting. That was not the case. When I asked them why they were penalizing us with charging us for 10 tastings, they said that we had already begun to drink the wine. Not only is this forcing us to pay, but also forcing our designated drivers to drink (they ended up just pouring it into another person's to be safe)! I found this ridiculous and did not want to create a scene in front of my good friends - $45 a tasting! Fortunately, we provided so much business with 2 membership subscriptions that we got everything comp'ed anyways. Credit Card Error: somehow they charged me 2X of what the cost of wine I bought. Fortunately, Mike corrected this and reimbursed the error. No harm done here since it was quick.

I am willing to give this winery another honest chance. We provided 2 subscriptions and spent nearly $1,000 with our small private party, but I felt scammed in the process with their hardsell tactics, lack of leniency, trying to force us to pay for more tastings, and CC charge errors (had to alert all...

We left in tears with how special this experience was for us. Patty, our host, treated us like we were lifelong friends. She took the time to treat us to the history of the winery, and show us how everything is made as well. The property itself is stunning; it's more akin to a work of living art than your standard winery.

We had the food pairing tasting experience, and boy were we satisfied. The food paired excellently with the wine that was served and that is a grotesque understatement. I myself am not particularly fond of reds, but I was prepared to branch out as Quixote specializes in Petite Sirahs. I can no longer say I do not enjoy reds. I was stunned by the taste, presentation, and how well everything combined. Patty guided us through in an unpretentious way; we discussed wine, reality TV, travel recommendations, Paris, all things Napa, and more. We left feeling like we just came from the best lunch of our life with friends we haven't seen in a long time.

I cannot recommend this experience enough. Not only was the wine and tasting incredible, but the story of the winery is fascinating, the environment is spectacular, and you will leave with a friend in Patty as your host (and hopefully some bottles to ship home). We will be back soon without a doubt. Thank...
