I can't believe there aren't more reviews of this campground! We just returned from our first family camping trip ever and I can't imagine a more positive experience. The campground is large, and admittedly pretty crowded, but everyone was very friendly and respectful and we didn't mind. The grounds and facilities are very clean and well-designed. The water is beautiful and clear and the beach is sandy, pine-needled, shaded perfection. I guess this place wouldn't be for you if you're looking for a secluded, quiet experience, but it's perfect for family-friendly fun...
Read moreSebago is about an hour's drive northwest of Portland, Me. It is a Great day trip. Sand beaches run tight into the pine trees on the shore. In season there are lifeguards and a snack bar. Also picnic tables with grills if you want to bring burgers and hot dogs. A little further up the lake is the State Park Camping area. Both drive on lots and walk-in tent lots.
