We came to this beach after reading carefully reviews from other beaches. Since pandemic a lot of beaches are limited capacity so planning is mandatory, specially if you come from other state/city like us. We came around 10 am, kinda late but after checking the Rhode island beaches website where indicated that parking was still available, we gave a try. If you are not resident, you will pay $14 and provides parking spot and access to the beach. Once inside, we were very impressed. Beach staff was very nice and welcoming, facilities are pretty well maintained, bathroom had full toilet paper, filled handsoap and even a sunscreen dispenser. They have 6 rinse showers available (3 for men/3 for ladies). If you need food, they have a mini food place called Salty's with offers basics such burgers, lobster rolls, ice cream, drinks etc. Also there is a small stand selling kids toys and some local souvenirs, nothing fancy but convenient. There is a playground but is closed for now. The beach was very clean and no too much seaweed, water was crystal which we loved it enjoyed a lot with out little girl. Vibe was nice and quiet, no pets allowed, no noisy people with loud music or any type of people disrupting the environment. People was being respectful wearing a mask out the sand area. We had a wonderful day and we...

Was hot on Monday and I headed to beach, passed Scarborough where lot was closed as was "Full". So just up around corner and a left at light is Roger Wheeler Beach. I was allowed in and found a good spot . Upon entering the beach I saw people were making good effort at social distancing and wearing masks when entering/exiting, or walking at Pavilion. The sand was nice, a nice breeze, and the time flew by! Totally enjoyable. Sorry to mention it but had to use the Porto potty while there and was bracing for gross, but was recently cleaned and sanitized. Plenty of tissue on hand too. Hand sanitizer too. Children have swing sets and slides but believe they may be off limits for time-being as "caged in" with fencing. There's a food concession in the pavilion and lobster salad rolls and lemonade are mentioned on advertising posters. Believe there is a lot more on menu but didn't investigate it this...

Great beach. Clean facilities. No rocks, soft, deep sand. Great little playground for kids. Typically overpriced snackbar, but nice having it there. Outdoor cold shower or hot indoor shower for $1. Various parking rates, with the highest being $14 per day for out of state on weekends. We went on a Friday and it was pretty busy with kids activities going on etc, I imagine an nice Saturday and Sunday would be packed. No balls allowed on the beach, so forget soccer or beach volleyball (too many crowds). No trash barrels, they offer trash bags at the parking gates. Their policy is carry out all the trash you bring in (this includes by the snack bar). No alcohol was announced over the loud speaker a few times, but the various life guards didn't seem to be watching for that. (But just as a precaution) Lots lifeguards in stands and patrolling, which was nice because there are tons of kids...

A great beach. We stayed at fishermen's memorial around the corner and chose this spot for our "beach day". I have to say that it didn't disapoint. We made sure to get here early and went to left hand side of the beach (as you pull in), it is a further walk to the snack shack and bathrooms but was much less busy. We enjoyed people watching, soaking up sun and swimming all mixed in with reading. We found the water warm and the beach crowded but everyone was in good spirits and was polite. We also took advantage of the snack bar (very reasonably priced) and the facilities ( reasonably clean). All in all a great beach and at only 12 bucks for the day for parking (out of state) we thought it was a great price. Get there early, use sun block and enjoy the sand!

The seagulls!!! Too many seagulls to where you are unable to eat. They were diving down and ripping food out of people's hands. There was a seagull fight on my blanket after they stole some ones sandwich still in the bag. There were atleast 6 to 8 seagulls on my blanket a nearby beach goer came over to swish them off. Be prepared of the attack of the seagulls. Other than that the beach and water were perfect. Great for kids to be able to swim as well. Very clean beach.
