I really really hate updating a review that's held true until today (been going here for years.) Absolutely loved this place and the staff but it's gone down hill in the span of a single season. 😢 Absolutely wrecks my heart. 4/1/24 at 430pm (thought it was a joke... not a joke...) Season just started and oml the attendant that "just started this season" is so rude and unknowledgable or just wanted to harrass foreigners. My forgin husband ((brown but not Hispanic IDK if that's important to the a hole in the booth)) Never in my days of daily use mind you, have I met someone that wanted to make someonelse so stressed and cry. The "I just started this season" gate attendant just gas lit us into "pay the entry fee" for just coming in from the fitness trail. And when I prodded that I even have a parking permit, he kept saying they don't have one, we've never had one, yadda yadda..... besides the point of how would he know if he's never been/from here... I digress.... Just to clarify YOU NEVER NEEDED TO PAY TO GET IN VIA FOOT TRAFFIC/BIKES! Idk what he was on or that he stopped my husband instead of me, but literally responded to my tears welling of frustration and saying that hes "not trying to be combative" (yet looking for a problem) and to "just go for today but next time pay" NEW INFORMATION: 4/3/2024 I was contacted back from parks/rec about the incident, to which she stated there's a no biking rule that's been in place (never posted anywhere previously nor the sites AND STILL ISNT) AND simply walking in from the trail you still have to pay the entry fee! ALSO STILL NOT MENTIONED! this is all new information that she(assuming manager) is saying has been in place for years... as expressed in her response email. Also, for the response of singling out my husband was, according to "staff" was I was ridding too fast.... even though we made eye contact, and I was going slow because ya girls outa shape and said they stopped him because he was coming in slower than I (not true but I digress I guess) whatever. I'm sick of being sick of a holes like this in and out of work. Smh. Stg. I'm rarely heated about stuff like this, but there's definitely something wrong here. None of the "the page has been updated to show these rules" are showing up even to this day, a week after the email. Ridiculous, circus esque management.

This is a beautiful place for a ā€œbeach-likeā€ family experience if you live in the area since beaches are more than a 7hr drive, but this time we went it was covered in poop, every three steps there was poop which is crazy because there no pets allowed in the day use area. The fact that people don’t follow that rule is one thing but the fact that people don’t pick up after their own pets poop is insane. A lot of children go to this place and you 100% cannot just sit on the grass. There was poop even in the sand area. Everything else looked great the playground area the employees were around doing rounds my husband said the bathroom looked clean and stocked it’s just sad that people are not taking care of this nice area. After covering all the poop around in our area with sand just to try to not step on it, our family had fun.

My husband and I enjoy going to Anderson Beach on Saturday mornings. We packed up our coffee and sandwiches, sunscreen and towels and had q picnic. We usually got there by 7:30 and stayed til 9am before it got crowded. The place was so calm and peaceful! I love digging my toes in the sand and playing in the water while sipping my coffee. The sound of the water crashing onto the shore/sand area soothes me and the chirping of the birds was music to my ears. I love this place and I enjoy going here! It’s clean, has lots of trees for shades and picnic benches are available too. The only thing I don’t like is you’ll see vultures in some areas especially when the park hasn’t been cleaned up just yet. Other than that, this place is a gem! šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ’›

We went there Sunday to have my son's 6th birthday party we got there at 7 a.m. and set everything up my wife got there at 9:30 with the food and cake she had to leave to go pick up one of our guest and I told her it was okay at the gate but when she got back they would not let her return into the recreation area because it was full they said but there was several Open Spaces to park I would suggest if you go here you make sure you have everything you need because if you leave they will not let you back in with the same ticket that you purchased that day they let everyone in who hasn't paid so they can get more money and tell everyone that has paid they have to get back in line and wait they would not even let her get in line they turned her away and several other guests that came to the party not a good experience I would not recommend this for anyone they're only out to get money out of people they tell you your spot is paid for but then they give someone else your spot and take their money also for it and if you're thinking that you can save a spot for someone you can forget that they will not allow you to save a spot even though you paid $5 for that spot very unhappy about the situation ended up packing everything up and going home and having a party just so you know it's not a good place and not very friendly either their exact words were we don't care you're not supposed to have birthday parties here anyway since when do they have the right to tell you where you going to have a birthday party for your kid very unhappy we will not be returning to their place again Anderson Road...
