I am a 3rd generation member of Belle Meade UMC. My children and grandchildren are members are well, which makes 5 generations, so there are loads of memories and lots of history with the big yellow church on the corner. Of course, the church actually started in a local elementary school before the small White Chapel was built and has grown on this lot donated by the Hill family. While the long family connections are important to me, this is not the only reason I keep coming back to this place. Belle Meade is a place where all are welcome, all are valued and the love of Christ is extended to all. We share our joys and our grief and we come to know Christ through our varied, unique shared experiences, making sacred safe space in which to share.
