Not 24 hrs and the drive way is not made for large vehicles or any trailers when parking lot full or empty for that matter. Purposely put in medians and small turn arounds are so not cool and unconstitutional for a public park listed as 24 hours. Not 24 hours they have a gate and key entry if outside dawn to dusk. PAVER BRICKS for parking lot so wrong. They cause trips and not blind friendly. This is a new construction that this city screwed up. Poor people who live here paid for big mistakes. On the good side, the park has exceptional areas for fitness and play that surpasses many parks. They have a walk way that plays music and I am fascinated. Basketball court and astroturf for a soft playground. Great job on the unique vision but poor traffic control. Worth visiting even on weekends. I also saw one other white person all day. Everyone is happy here and they have restrooms. They don’t have sinks or soap or dryers in the bathrooms bc they are outside. None of them work water wise you have to go to family bathroom to get water. Shower ports and water fountains are dry. Not very sanitary and I bet that cost a lot to...
Read moreDisc Golf Course review only. It is hard to want to write a review for a course that isn’t permanent. It is a shame because this was a fun course to play. I really enjoyed having to think about executing shot placement to set up your next shot. Not something I get to do often with where I live. Although the tee pads were permanent the baskets were not. The course was set up with a lot of out of bounds for the tournament that is held here yearly. If the course was open all year round, I am sure that wouldn’t be the case as it would be difficult to maintain OB lines that way year-round. One round took me 2 hours to play solo, while taking pictures and not a single group in front of me. Unfortunately, I just happened to be in the area a week before the tournament and made time to visit. I hope, in the future, the opportunity presents itself again. Now make this course permanent and others can enjoy...
Read moreVisited the park today for the first time and had a blast! The slides were definitely hot but the warning was well advertised. We weren’t able to snag any of the sought after shade but enjoyed the benches.
4 stars because we’re big into hiking but the trail is advertised as 2.5 and is definitely longer unless we missed something glaring. I know it’s under constant improvement but we set out with our 9,8 and 3yo and what we anticipated would be enough water for a hike that length. It wasn’t 😂 but it was also very hot today.
There were several switchbacks and by the time we finished it was closer to 3.5. This will be way more doable in the fall and the trail was gorgeous…surrounded by wildflowers but our kids often go on long hikes and were really struggling by the end (mainly because of the length expectation and heat). We’d do it again knowing what we know but wanted to share for other...
