This is a fun trail I bike on. I think it's like a total of 10 miles one way. You have to ride it on a dry spell in the summer otherwise there's a huge mud hole about a quarter of the way in and there's no easy way around it. I really hope they fix this section. Read moreGreat for dog walking, strolling and biking. The trail is well shaded in warm months. For hikers there are many better choices nearby, but you can't beat it for taking your dog for a long walk without dealing with cars.
Just be aware that there are plenty of bike riders. If you walk your dog on a long leash you'll need to real it in when bikers approach. Also, it is a bridle trail - - people riding horses have the right of way. Finally, don't bring a dog that doesn't deal well with lots of people, other dogs and those horses.
