Read moreLake Minatare is a great area huge number of campsites many still open this time of year. We asked about camping on the beach and the ranger said "yeah bud go for it!". So we camped on the beach was a great night to sleep in a tent. We where a little concered drivng the Barn Free but she can handle any terrian with some love, hill? Easy? Uneven dirt path? Just off road sand? No worries. Had a neat lighthouse which we figured we could go up but ot was locked both times. However it was late the first night and early the 2nd so monday no park attended was around to make sure the hoodrats didnt graffiti the light house 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Last thing, flies.
Soooo many flies which wernt a problem outside because they all somehow got sucked into the rv camper i spent the next 4 days swatting flies and leaving their mutilated bodies around as a warning to the rest, no fly problem after that!

It was really cool to see the RV's with the kayaks and jet ski's in the water right next to them. The eroding sandhills provide a breathtaking backdrop to the dark blue lake.
