The ear buds provided didn't really seem necessary except for one of the places the rest mainly just provided music for the short video clips. Kids activities may have used the ear buds more. I imagine a lot of their traffic from visitors to nearby Scotts Bluff National Monument passing through, but I highly recommend locals that have not been to the museum (or have not been for several years) to make a point of visiting soon.
