Medicine Creek State Recreation Area — Attraction in Nebraska

I could give it less or more stars but we love this state Park so I'll go with 4. We stayed in a cabin instead of tent camping this year. Cabin #2 was clean and stocked with everything you need. It was quiet for the most part. We got to see so much wildlife just from our cabin deck! We ventured around the lake as we sometimes do but went much further this time in hopes of visiting campsites past but many roads are not kept up or passable at all and it's disheartening. As others have stated, the playgrounds are outdated as well but we didn't use those. We fished in a few different areas which were nice but we lost out on quite a few spots bank fishing due to not being able to use the roads. Site nor maps don't tell you what site is what and none close to the water. No such thing as quite hours as there was loud music and boat engine reving contest at 3am then at 6am all the slaming around and kids screaming. Expensive for out of staters. If you want a shower at the shower house have change because you literally have to pay to shower ontop of the Expensive fees. $0.50 says 3 minutes but lasted 30 seconds.
