Nice city park. Local traffic is heavy. We were there in January, and there were no bathrooms, no electricity, no water, and warm weather gave us sloppy wet muddy sites (they have on the entry side of the park 4 sites to choose from). It used to be free to camp there, but basically, you now get charged $5.00 a night to stay on their grounds. They claim to have bathrooms and showers, but they must lock these up in the 'off' season; no facilities were available to us. We didn't see any deer, but they were there in droves judging by the piles and piles of little balled excrement everywhere you walked. Dog owners didn't pick up either, so much to look out for on a stroll. They did have a very nice frisbee golf course set up, not just the flat course with turns but up wooded hills and down, looked fun. There is a large pavilion that can be rented. Three walking bridges that carry you over a rather nice little creek. This park is located just outside of town. The town itself offers you pretty much whatever you may need.

*Very nice spacious city park. I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled onto this place while trying to find somewhere to walk my dogs and waste some time. Surprised I was pretty much the only one there on a 60° Saturday in early April. *There are bathrooms, however they were closed as it was still early-mid April at the time of my visit. *Multiple playgrounds, swing sets etc for kids. Some are a bit worn or sun faded. *Camping is available here for $10/night. Plenty of walking trails available with some neat little bridges. *There is a nice park shelter with grills and picnic tables available. *There is a 12 hole disc golf course available to play. *Overall, a very nice park. There was a good amount of trash on the ground, mostly fast food trash and beer cans. A few fences/post and wire areas in disrepair. If the city spent a few days really working on this park it could be in really great shape 👍🏼

It's the best campground we've been to. The showers are hot, the maintenance guy added soap to the dispenser when asked. I'm sorry to hear that kids vandalize the facilities, but our group appreciates all the work you do. We've come up four years in a row to float down the niobrara, and have enjoyed staying at the park. The area is great for playground activities, hiking, frisbee golf, photography, relaxing, camping, and getting away from the city life. Highly recommend.

The park is nice, we had a nice place to set up our tents and the park is isolated enough from town that it was very peaceful at night. Unfortunately while we were there (we were bikepacking the Cowboy Trail over Memorial Day week 2022) when we went to use the showers there was no hot water, and sewage was backing up out of the floor drains in the shower house/bathroom building. It made for a less than refreshing way to clean up after a day's ride. If you need to shower and the shower house is still rough, hit up the gas station next to The Bunkhouse, they have paid showers that...
