My new favorite launch on The Charles. Usually paddle the charles in Millis/Medfield area and I have never seen the water this clean. Its fall now and the foliage was beautiful. Another couple was at the boat launch when we arrived and said its uaually packed. I can see why. It really is so beautiful here. Can't wait to return and see what the spring has in store! What a lovely stretch of the Charles River. This time of year not much wildlife. However, the myriad of twists and turns offer many delightful scenes. A bonus, if you call it that, is seeing some seriously impressive houses. Light current and lots to see makes this a candidate for repeated paddles

Such a nice area! Really peaceful, great for a picnic, easy to access by car. Early fall best time of the year to visit: leaves are so colorful and birds are pretty active. Only downside: those electric poles are so ugly they ruin the experience…
