If I Could Give A Place for Dreamers 10 Stars, I Would!
We called a handful of other horseback riding places before finding A Place for Dreamers, and most of them were unpleasant to speak with. We were coming from Hitchcock, TX (near Galveston) and wouldn’t be in the area until around 5 or 5:30 PM. Every place we called told us their last ride was at 4:30 PM—no exceptions—and the few that did offer evening rides nearly doubled their prices. We were starting to think it just wasn’t going to happen.
Then we stumbled upon A Place for Dreamers, and from the moment the young lady answered the phone, I knew we were in good hands. I didn’t catch her name, but she was so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I explained our situation, and she simply said, “Don’t worry—whenever you get here, we’ll take care of you.” And she meant it.
When we arrived, the process was super smooth. We signed a quick waiver for the kids, made our payment, and within five minutes we were on the horses. The only delay was a quick, clear intro on how to control the horse.
This was the first time on horseback for me and my two sons (ages 3 and 7). My wife rode with our three-year-old, while our seven-year-old rode solo. He was nervous at first, but quickly relaxed and was smiling from ear to ear once he realized he’d have his own personal guide walking beside him to help control the horse. One of the guides was even a certified EMT, which gave us extra peace of mind.
We paid $180 for the 30-minute ride for four riders. A one-hour tour would’ve been around $270. We chose the shorter ride just to see how the kids would react—but after this amazing experience, we’ll definitely be doing the hour from now on.
We all had such a great time, and everyone enjoyed it so much that we plan to go frequently. The staff, the service, and the overall vibe were incredible. A Place for Dreamers really lives up...
Read moreMy fiancée and I had an amazing time at A Place for Dreamers Horseback Ride & Trail Ride this past weekend while we were in town for Beyoncé. Booking was super easy, and we chose the 30-minute ride for two riders, which cost about $92—a great value for the experience!
Our host, Genevieve, was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and hardworking. It had rained before our visit, so she couldn’t prep the horses ahead of time, but as soon as the rain stopped, she got everything ready quickly and we were only about 5 minutes behind schedule. She helped us get on the horses and explained everything clearly, making us feel comfortable and safe.
The horses were absolutely wonderful—so sweet and gentle. It was my first time riding, and my horse, Tank, made it so easy.
A few tips if you go: • Arrive on time, since you might be riding with other groups. • Wear boots because it can be muddy. • Wear pants and possibly a long-sleeve shirt since you’ll ride through tall grass and bushes with thorns. •. Don’t bring your phone, glasses and/or other loose items on the ride. If they fall, they are more than likely lost. • Take a little time to explore the property! They have goats, rabbits, and other horses you can visit before and after your ride.
We had a fantastic experience and would 100% recommend A Place for Dreamers to anyone looking for a fun and memorable...
Read moreWhat an Awesome experience. We decided to spend our family vacation in Houston Texas this year. We are from GA so it was about an 13 hour drive. One of the activities we knew was a must while on vacation was horseback riding. While researching, we found over 10 different ranches to choose from that wasn't too far from the Airbnb we were staying at. This place was about 29 miles away and took us about 45 minutes to get there from the Airbnb. The reviews was a plus and a big decision factor as it had a 5 star rating. However, let's just say, I believe that God directed us to the this place. The owner met us there and introduced herself to us. She is such a genuine, friendly, humble person. Our guides, one of which was her son, were so knowledgeable and experienced with horses. There were 7 of us, (my family) that actually did the trail ride. Only 2 of us had actually rode before. Ages ranged from 7 - 52, and the guides took care of each of us meeting each individual needs. This was an awesome experience from the booking process to the leaving from the ranch. Whether you are visiting, passing through, or a local looking for a great place to enjoy horses and/or enjoy a wonderful trail ride, "A Place for Dreamers Horseback Ride and Trail", is the beat place to visit....
