Lake 'O The Pines is mostly a catfish and bass lake. It does contain trash fish. Local bass tournaments are held every year by Skeeter Boats which is a boat company in Kilgore, Texas. It boasts of several public boat docks and recently has had problems with Salvinia. In experienced boaters and fishermen should avoid this lake since many end up hitting stumps and cap sizing. Also any inexperienced wind sale boaters should also avoid this lake since it does have some power lines over head but power companies have been working to fix this. It is part of the Texas Forestry and has several public parks. It also has picnic areas, swimming areas, and public restrooms. Be on the look out for black widow and brown recluses in the public restrooms as I spotted at least one black widow on my visit a few summers ago.. It has some areas for musicians to play music. It also has R.V. parking and hook-ups. There is a teach your kid how to fish day too. You may want to bring your camera if you like taking pictures of local birds. There are deer leases around the area. I do recommend sticking deer whistles on your vehicle before visiting. It is also recommended to check the tree line for shallow rooted trees before pitching a tent in the area. I also recommend taking a snake bite kit with you and dawning deet to avoid being bit by mosquitoes, benadryl, and 45...

My wife got one and 3.3 lb. A very relaxing day and the fishing was wonderful here at...

I paid $5 to drive in a circle around the attendant's booth. Several emails have been sent and I am still unable to get...
