Love the place. I use it as a halfway stopping off four trips to Reno or out to Winnemucca. You can buy gas, snacks, sodas, cold weather, clothing, and cool t-shirts. They have the Tahoe brand jerky and Tahoe mini sausages that are just out of this world. They also have sandwiches and burritos that you can heat up in their microwave. They have every soda you can imagine in their cooler section and you can get sodas through the tap with ice as well as coffee and hot chocolate. The Burger King that was attached next door is no longer in business.
The counter people are always friendly and helpful and if you have a question or looking for something specific they will come out from behind the counter and help you find it.
The restrooms are always clean and the women's restroom has three stars so I've never had to wait in line there. The picnic area across the road has a great view. I've never used the snow park but it seems to be super popular in the winter when...

Read moreWhen California politicians want to speak about "price gouging," they only need to look at their OWN STATE‼️ Here is a PERFECT example of that. It's snowing, so Emigrant Gap was tire chains only and was sent off the highway directed to get tire chains at this Shell gas station. This station wanted 3 times the price of anywhere else. In addition to this fact, their fuel was $1.50 more per gallon than what we saw driving from LA. Trying to charge almost $6 for fuel when everywhere else is at the $4 mark is precisely "price gouging" Unless you're bringing the children to play in the snow, might I suggest avoiding this establishment. I said what I said. However, it is quite interesting how the owner of the snow park knows so much about the...
