Great little hike. But it would be better if the leash laws were enforced. Way too many inconsiderate dog owners here, that completely ignore the many posted signs that say dogs must be on a leash. Not everyone likes dogs, and some people have been randomly bitten or attacked by dogs that the owners say are nice and wouldn't do that. So put your damn dogs on a leash, or stick to the actual dog park, which is right at the entrance. It's not that hard to be a decent human being.

Seems like an entirely different planet if you know where to go. I love hiking in this area. There are a few things to keep in mind like beware of rattle snakes and the occasional sand scorpion. But as the old saying goes, "If you don't want any trouble, don't put yourself in that position to begin with." There are plenty of vistas here including views of downtown Reno from the east side.

Very pretty, well kept grounds, and a very popular place, with lots of people coming to the dog park. Hidden Valley Park is always a great place to relax and take in the beauty of the surroundings. Lots of trails to explore and hike, the views are amazing! Lovely green, lush grass, huge shade trees in the park area, and sometimes horses!

Hiking, biking, dog walking, horse trotting, hills, valleys, trees, bugs, tennis, trails, rattlesnake tails, bails of hay, neighborhood kids at play, get away for the day.

I live nearby this park and it's awesome if you just want to be outside and away from the city for a minute.

They have a huge dog park with poop bags and water fountains for the dogs.

They have trails that cross into the wilds of Nevada with wild horses and steep hill climbs for mountain biking and hiking.

They have a kids park. Bathrooms. A tennis...

The park is split in two - one side for small dogs one side for big dogs. After years of coming here I feel confident in saying: be VERY wary of taking your small dog to the big dog side. I've gotten the impression over the years that people with aggressive big dogs tend go to this park to avoid interactions with little dogs. Because of this on occasion little dogs have been injured/killed on the big dog side over the past few years....
