Water poured in from Carson river spillway, however Lohontan shores have grown, and water level is down 40-50% due to drought. Fish were jumping out of the water chasing mosquitoes but we couldn't catch anything on our spin rods. Nice reflection. Portapotty.

Lahontan Dam isn't that special, just a historical dam and a man made lake in the middle of the desert. Nothing to exciting. The views of the mountains and the lake are the best part.

This time of year water levels are WAAYYY down. Conditions aren't conducive to good fishing and boat launching would not be easily done and would be a bad idea. On the other hand... If you want to get away from the noise for awhile this could...
