The Mines & Meadows ATV park is great for families. It’s unusual for trails to be laid out going in a oneway direction, therefore making trail riding a lot safer by reducing the risks of collisions on most of the trails. The trails are reasonably well-marked with terrain difficulty ranging from easy to difficult, along with a vast amount of single tracks (i.e., for dirt bikes only), accommodating all types of riders and machine types.
Additionally, this trail park is open year-round, which is also a nice feature. Another unusual/great trail park benefit is M&M closes the trail park for members only for deer hunting season in December. (Although I believe non-members can buy a special park pass during those 2 weeks now.)
Why the 3 star rating then? The cost of park trail passes are extremely high/over priced given the lack luster conditions of the trails themselves. For the exuberant costs of the seasons/day passes, the trail maintenance is poor at best and/or practically non existent.
If your going to charge premium prices, then the trail conditions should reflect that. Several of the trails had large trees laying across the ONE-WAY trails or huge rocks and extensive deep water holes (ok, its off roading, so that can happen). More importantly, the main issue was nearly all of the trails were severely rutted. AND the park does NOT offer towing services. Should you get stuck, better have a winch on your machine or pray for a passerby who can help you!!
We have a lift on our SXS, totaling 12” of ground clearance (extremely high given the factory std is about 4-6” of ground clearance on most machines). Even with 12” of high ground clearance, our SXS was STILL routinely bottoming out on most of the trails (note: during/post rainy conditions too). Unless your machine has an aftermarket lift kit on it, I would think twice before riding here alone or without a heavy duty remote controlled winch on your machine.
With the likely costs of repairing your machine + passes costs, ultimately turns this potentially good trail park into mediocre at best. Had family not lived nearby and required lodging costs on top of the overly inflated trail passes costs, we would NOT be returning to this trail park again. There are cheaper, bigger and better maintained trail parks to visit with similar...

WOW! Thats all I can say. We have been to many off-road parks in many states. Now I wish they all offered guided tours like Mines & Meadows!! All the parks we have previously visited seemed to have poorly market trail systems in common. Where you might find yourself doing the same sections of trail over and over or down a one way road to a double black diamond that you didnt want to do. So when we saw they option to rent with a guided tour it sounded like something great to try. It sure was great. Steve started us on some main easier trails and then went to increasing better and better trails. The mud bogs were awesome. There wasn't an inch of us the wasn't covered in mud. But at the same time if that wasnt for you then you could pass it and go to another trail. The lunch from Vinnys was great and was nice to have a 30 min break. Then we did the mine tour. It was very cool if you like to visit caves like we do. We traveled to here from Chicago and it was well worth it. Even if you dont do the guided tour there trails are the most well marked we have seen. You could always tell the direction you should be going and what level the trail was. I didnt think we would ever be to this area again after this visit but now I am not so sure. Id come back to do another tour. Great place with great service do you self a favor...
