I visit this park often to walk my small dog. I love how huge the park is with its rolling hills, over-view of the river and the overall quietness of the environment. It has plenty of shaded picnic tables and shade from tall hardwood trees all over. There's a boat ramp and a disc golf course for recreational purposes. Also, there is a fenced-in dog park and a kids playground. For those who like to fish off a pier... there's one here too.

My only complaint is the entire park isn't paved anywhere except for the boat ramp area. All other areas where you can drive is dirt. Forget keeping your car clean inside and out after a rain storm. You'll be tracking sand in your car every time. If the roads were paved this would be a perfect place for family gatherings. 4 stars only because of the dirt roads otherwise it's a 5 star...

I went here to play the disc golf course. I fell in love with this course immediately! I’ve played nearly 80 North Carolina courses, and this one ranked very well! I know a great course when I see one, and I’ve been reflecting on this one for 3 days straight, now. I would not call it a beginner course, as the playground is fairly close to where you’ll be throwing from, immediately on starting, and because several holes look insanely complicated, due to all of the trees on site.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this course to someone that’s been playing for around a year.

I found hole 1 to be addictive! I just had to throw 50 discs at the basket, after my round was over.

Go play this Course if you have any...

Glenburnie Park has many great fishing spots,I frequently visit the area, you could also just have a front seat & enjoy the quiet outdoors. Be very careful with snakes,I seen one recently, treat them all with respect;they come upon you quickly.Snake populations are growing, especially at this time of the year. There's also a playground, dog park nearby & barbeque areas, you will see many boats going by, plan a family day soon.If you are planning a birthday party, it's best if you make a reservation, and as you know, safety is top priority.Keep the areas clean, restroom facilities are nice, enjoy spending time with...

Nice park, well taken care of. The disc golf course is great. There are alternate tees for most holes, the terrain is fairly technical, and it has see nice views by the river. The short tees don't require too much power, but you have to get through some trees on most shots. There are only a few long drives (hole 17 is 530 feet from the long tee). Would definitely play again.

Glenburnie Park is a beautiful area in New Bern. Dog park that's sectioned off, Frisbee golf course, boat launch, picnic tables, covered table areas, small play area for kids, all waterfront with green grass and tree coverage. 4/5 because of sewage plant right beside the park and there are times you can tell it's there.
