Solms Park — Attraction in New Braunfels

last week, mat and I stopped at solms park around 11pm on our way from SA to NB. it seemed like a quiet park. n good place to get up n stretch. the restrooms door was unlocked plus was clean n had soap n paper towel which is so great to have. anyways I came out and I found mat at the top of playground. it goes up 3 levels high and has a steep tube slide and a super swirly slide. we spend almost an hour going down these slides it was so fun. we went back to car 1230am it was getting cold and late. I was so tired n I ended up falling asleep idk about mat but I woke I think 3am and not even a couple minutes later a police turns down the street and he come n ask what are we doing and he suspect we are doing illegal stuff. he says it's a very bad part of town to be in. being from San Antonio we kinda have this sixth sense can tell what places we shouldnt be in and we thought the exact opposite, well anyways he ask us all these question and trying to interrogate just becoz it was after hours n he got drug dog to come so we had to sit in handcuffs with another officer n it was pretty cold out in the end they didn't find what they wanted to find so they let us go. all I'm trying to say is. if you're gona fall asleep especially after hours just go...

well I don't want to leave a negative review because all in all it's a good location it just needs help on customer service..I like to go to BK sometimes cause I really like the bacon king it just rules the nest, the place is clean Including the restrooms but when I walk into a fast food establishment and im at the counter and stand there for a few minutes and don't get acknowledged then it gets a bit weird, one person running drive thru and he also runs dining room id be a bit frustrated also but even so all you have todp is say, sir ill be with you in just a moment it changes everything cause I be like, no problem take ur time....communicating with ur customers determines what kind of attitude its going to create with your customer and if acknowledged he or she will more than likely be ok waiting for a few minutes as you get caught up Versus looking at them and turning ur back to them which you now have frustrated customers that aren't patient..so what's the...

I really wish I could like this park more. It's such a fun set up and it has the opportunity to be a really nice park. There's a basketball court, bathrooms (that are often locked) picnic seating, a playground that my kids absolutely love, a baseball field and a sidewalk that loops the entire park. However it's not by the nicest neighborhood and therefore often gets neglected. The picnic benches could be replaced and there is often lots of trash from people not picking up after themselves. That all being said, my kids love coming here for what it does offer. And last time we went, the mobile library was there which was so fun as we had not been in one yet. My kids absolutely loved getting some library books out of the big truck! Anyways, I would love to see a little bit of money thrown into this park to really...
