I am a Devoted Visitor to this Shrine since the 1970's. I visit only twice a year due to distance. Christmas Season and during Lent. Several times when younger! The Candle Chapel is a Privilege because in departing after prayers, One can return home knowing that a small part of themselves remain for awhile, amongst all of the Blessings.💛 To me, it's not only a Privilege, but a source of Pride to be part of a Culture that maintains the Value of a Good Work Ethic, Closeness of Family & Friends, Fun Weddings!😊 Great Cuisine,(check out the Country Food Store), Devotion to our Religion, and to Ancestors we never knew. "Tradition!" It was they, who were the ones, that made it possible for us to be born as Americans. My people and Roots are in Cambria County. We might differ from the Northeast group in some ways, but we're United in Spirit and Respect, to each being a part of Coal Mining and Steel Production.🙌 Everyone should try to make "1" visit to this Beautiful Shrine. The 1st Chapel/Church (at Cemetery) Touches the Heart and Resonates a feeling of awe! It's a wonder to find yourself saying: "I'm a part of this Holy Place" built by Eastern European Hands! It's a place where I, too, belong." Also, Finally, the Gift Shop is affordable and the Staff so Welcoming, Kind, and We All get to hear some POLISH! That's such a Treat for those who never learned the Language! Through the years, I've taken friends of all Faith's with me to experience Czentochowa. Each has enjoyed it's Beauty and Peace, saying it was a worthwhile visit. Some have returned on their own! 💒 😇 I submit this with Deep Respect, Pride, and...

A must stop in anyone’s Northeast coast travels and located in Doylestown, the County Seat of Bucks County. The views, the fresh air and the Holy Spirit is what you will find. Light a candle 🕯 in the outdoor chapel 💒, tour the museum with the history and relics of the great popes or take in a mass. You may even see a miracle..it has happened there; see the crutches on the walls. Take in the side chapel to Our Lady of Guadalupe or the Blessed Virgin Grotto. I have been going there since 1995. It is one of the most recognizable National Cathedrals in the 🇺🇸 and you do not have to be Polish to enjoy 😊 it, though everyone working there speaks the language. Try to time your visit to one of the festivals, however they have two outdoor magnificent Stations of the Cross ✝️ you can walk any time of the year. If you go, look for a candle in the Candle Chapel 💒 labeled “Bertha and Mildred” in the front facing right corner. They are the mothers to my wife and I. We have been going there to pray for all our needed help and they have never let us down. 🙏...

Oh my how beautiful this church is. It's amazing, huge, and such detail in the architecture and statues. The grounds are nicely kept. And even though sometimes I can't understand the priest I still know what they are talking about. Sometimes that's a good thing especially in confession. I remember growing up going to their polish festival and we got to experience mass sitting outside on blankets on the church grounds while the priest said mass over the loud speaker.and then we lay there tilldusk and watch the fireworks .what a great memory in I will have forever about being with my family! One more thing if and when u ever get to go get something from the gift shop they have such nice stuff and don't forget to look at Mary's statue as ur walking upto the church and look at the flowers around her statue they are so vibrant and beautiful all the time surrounding Mary Mother of God. It's always been the case. I can remember thinking that growing up. Hope this helps someone in making their decision to visit The Shrine of...

We drove up like an hour each way, to the annual Polish fest. It was very hot out though. It was $12 each to get in, including the rides also. Free parking. The girlies loved all the carnival rides. You had to pay extra for the large ferris wheel though, so we skipped that. 🎡 There was a dance hall as always. My one grand danced which was cute. The food was average food up there. The platski's were just plain fried potato pancakes. Not great taste. The perogie line was very long in the sun. I got the potato cheese ones. They were doughy, & average. Not good at all. They really need to boil them, THEN fry them too..The french fries were average too. We skipped the polish ices for $4.00 small cup, & instead got the $10 shaved ice in a large cup. It was good. Best thing there plus the rides.....see added pics..

Warmth and Wonder at Doylestown's Polish American Shrine I visit the Polish American Shrine in Doylestown, PA a lot, like five times a year. It's always a good time. The folks there, especially Father Bartłomiej, makes you feel right at home. His masses are something I really enjoy. There's so much to see and do here. You can spend all day checking out the amazing sculptures, browsing the store filled with religious stuff, or eating some tasty Polish food in the cafeteria. They also have a Polish food market. And keep an eye on their bulletin for cool events, like the Christmas Market they recently had this December.

I only get to come out to this place 1 a year or every 2 years but its always a wonderful and memorable experience. Our Lady of Czestochowa is quite important in the faith and the way that she is honored here is beautifully done. This entire place is created to feel peaceful, reflective and meditative. There is a huge statue of the Archangel Michael at the cemetery which we always stop by to pay our respects. He is a beloved archangel who we call upon when fearful or in danger. I just love the level of workmanship and respect put into creating this entire shrine. I can't wait to go back in the future.
