The best spot on the 112 for taking foliage pics, in prime-time early October. We stopped at a few spots overlooking distances, and all were nice, but for some reason none of them quite had that famous “orange red” palette of trees. This one did. Well worth it.
The other good spots to stop off at were the Sabbaday Falls, Lower Falls, and one other one with the name “gorge” in it. These are not the typical scenic vistas, but short walks to waterfalls or gorges with equally beautiful chances for pics.
Pro-tip 1: your phones may not work while on the 112! Bad cell service. Mine did not work at all.
