LOUYAA Fields — Attraction in New Market

Park is great, but they do have a trash problem. They never empty their trash cans and it ends up looking like these pictures I took a few weeks ago. I do love the lacrosse wall, and the concession stand always has great food when there’s games and tournaments. No bathrooms, but usually always a few porta pots, which sometimes get tipped over lol.

However, the park also has a sediment and erosion control problem. They also always seem to be encroaching further and further into the surrounding forest over at Lane field and Jeffies field. They mow and bush hog it back to prevent new forest canopy growth. Existing forest has seen better days given the significant erosion and washout of their gravel roads.
