Eigentlich wollten wir das kleine Museum besuchen, was aber geschlossen war, also haben wir eine Rundgang durch diesen verschlafen Ort gemacht, und ein paar schöne Bilder geschossen. Wir haben keine Menschenseele gesehen, außer einem Pferd, das so herumstand. Hier scheint die Zeit stehengeblieben zu sein. Das Örtchen hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Wer hier vorbeikommt, einfachmal einen Stop machen.

I was in Hillsboro today, but couldn’t find the museum. Comparing old google street view photos to what I saw today I now realize that the museum seems to no longer exist. The same building here in this location now has a big “no trespassing” sign instead of a “black range museum” sign.

UPDATE: the museum was closed for renovation. The museum was very interesting and we even got a tour by a nice gentleman. I would totally recommend stopping by and spending...

Charming museum with friendly people! We got a tour of the museum from Garland. The building has been remodeled and is gorgeous inside. I loved that the history museum features the prominent women of Hillsboro, along with ranching, Native American, and the building's history....
