I'm very disappointed with my visit to the wetlands. I used to go often in previous years, but now that Las Golondrinas owns it, they have closed the usual entrance on the frontage road and visitors must enter through the gift shop of the museum. Then they must walk 40 minutes to even get to the wetlands which does not include walking around the wetlands themselves. This is completely inaccessible to disabled people and older people, when the frontage road entrance was accessible with only a minute's walk onto the trails from the parking lot. The gift shop workers' reason for the change was that visitors were parking in the road. It seems this could be easily fixed. I didn't know that Las Golondrinas was ableist and I hope they fix this in the future. The wetlands are too beautiful for all...
