San José de la Laguna Mission Church and Convento Historic Site — Attraction in New Mexico

Beautiful little church with amazing history. We very much enjoyed the architecture and the beautiful wood-carved doors. The local people are very friendly and helpful. We visited with an RV towing (34'). We were very fortunate that no one else was visiting at the time, because parking with a larger vehicle was tight, and if the area in front of the church would have been full there would not have been any place to turn around. We are grateful & overwhelmed in awe, as we stopped in to see the church as we were on our way to the Grand Canyon. We were met by a gentleman, who graciously opened up the church for just us, he told us the history of the church and of his people; My heart smiles.
