Taos Mountain Casino — Attraction in New Mexico

Although it's smaller than most casinos in New Mexico, The Taos Mountain Casino is a fun place to visit and play the impressive variety of slot machine games available. The Taos Mountain Casino is located about one mile inside the Taos Pueblo and can be reached from the two main roads leading into the Historic Taos Pueblo, where the famous Multi-Storied Adobe Buildings have stood for nine centuries. The Taos Mountain Casino is not open 24 hours a day, like most, instead it closes each night at 10 p.m. It's not usually crowded, but does have a steady flow of patrons; check it out, you might win thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars. Consistent with Taos spirit, it is very clean, has a welcoming atmosphere, refreshingly smoke-free (which it apparently always has been), and the food is surprisingly inexpensive for the deliciousness, quality, and quantity. The staff are polite, friendly, and attentive. The beverages are complimentary hot cocoa, coffee, bottled water, and fountain drinks. They have numerous promotions that easily rival the other casinos. The table games are computerized. Given its remoteness, I am glad for the lack of alcoholic drinks since most people have to drive. A very spirit-lifting and positive casino, I rate it full stars and worth the journey. They are open 10am to 10pm, 5 days a week, then 10am to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Also, I nearly always get ahead at some point during a visit. They have a good mix of machines old and new, strategically placed so that all are easily accessed by folks with limited mobility. I love going here, but still requiring masks? And temp checks? Makes me want to choose casinos here in CO as masks no longer required in CO. Sad as vaccinations should have done away with all this...update: we went back and one of the workers bothered 3 our of 4 in our party about pulling up our mask! We are so disappointed with the "mask police", there. Your temp is checked, it's like your gonna tell us how we can breath, because your so afraid that we're spreading an illness that I have to be tested to know if I have it? I wouldn't be there if I was sick and if I was your checking my temp!people are vaccinated now! If the vaccine does not work why all the pressure to get it?
