An easy to moderately steep climb up with about half the time in shade at most times of the day (less at high noon), very pleasant when it is cool and still fine when it is hotter. No boulder hopping required, but the path is covered with rock shards. Decent views from the waterfall/cave area. If there's been enough rain that the falls might actually have water running over them, that water will flow down the last part of the trail, just before you get to the waterfall. To avoid it, turn right at the sign for Crest Trail, which will lead you up a switchback to the top of the falls. Google Maps provides an accurate trail map...

A very easy trail to the falls but don’t expect to see a waterfall. It’s more like a small trickle. Still, this is a fun hike. There are small caves before the falls and if you make the trek above the falls and follow the trail a ways you will reach an amazing play area for the kids with large forts built from fallen trees. There are many structures with tunnels, tables and chairs, and some little water areas with good shade and spots to stop and eat or rest. Keep going up and you will have some great views but the trail gets a little rocky and can be fairly difficult if you don’t have the...

My family and I with 3 children ages 9, 2 1/2 and 11 months old went today to go hiking to find the waterfall pictured on the site , well we did not find any water fall but we seen a pretty awesome cave it was fun to hike there my 2 year old loved it. The downfall of it is in some spots the trail is very narrow and it's on a steep hill about 10 feet down and if you slip you will fall down I had to be really careful with my 2 year old walking and they had a lot of rocks my son kept tripping over. Not really for a young kid other than that not bad I will hopefully be going there again...

Easy, short hike from the trail head to Travertine Falls. Trail is well marked and maintained. At the base of the falls, the ice is a hazard so watch your step if there after the falls have frozen. Farther up the Crest Trail there are some very nice overlook views. No restroom at trail head, but there are a map/information board and a bear-proof trash can. Two Pokestops near the falls, and Pokemon along the trails. I had good cell service, and Google Maps could track me along the trail.
